The Campochiarenti Estate is situated in an old village of the same name along the mediaeval Francigena road near San Gimignano in the surrounding of Siena in the middle of Tuscany. The estate produces and bottles high quality wines since 1977, following the Tuscan tradition and matching it with innovation and research, to assure the highest level of quality. All the grapes come from our vineyards and are processed in our cellars, where the wines have been stored and aged. A strong management of the vineyards, selecting the best clones, applying a hard green pruning, assures a unique character and an excellent structure to our wines. White and red wines are vinified in stainless steel or concrete tanks: the whites are characterized by freshness and elegance typical of our “terroir”. The reds have been aged in large oak barrels balancing the structure but preserving as much as possible their natural personality.

The most important wines produced are DOCG reds and whites: the first one are Chianti Colli Senesi and Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva, the second one is the Vernaccia di San Gimignano, that was the first DOC wine of Italy. There is a small production of IGT wines whose grapes are specially selected during harvest to better express the vintage, the red one is the “Vivi”, made with Sangiovese and international grapes, the white one is the “Dorato”, made with Pinot grapes (Blanc, Noir and Gris). A Vin Santo del Chianti is produced in small quantity with very long aging time.
