The Lucia Di Raimondo’s Atelier DiraluDesign offers artworks and furnishings inspired by the ancient art of “Kirigami” Japanese; this technique was born in the East centuries ago and has subsequently developed in many cultures around the world. Modern “Papercuts” are so perforated designs, characterized by full and empty spaces, which create original works to hang on the walls or panels, screens, dividers, tables, lamps, lamp shades all you can customize by color, design and size. I take care also of art installations aimed at shop windows, hotels and art spaces, as well as the publishing industry.

“My paper sculptures are entirely handmade with special tools, and therefore unique and characteristic.”
It all started with a piece of paper, flat and two-dimensional entity; my intent is to extract the essence from that paper, to free what is imprisoned inside giving it a form, a character and, if possible, a soul.
