PODERE VOLPAIO, Vinci
Volpaio farm is located in the town of Vinci, 30 km from Florence. Vinci, famous for being the birthplace of the most brilliant man of the Renaissance, is located in an intermediate position between the provinces of Florence, Pisa and Livorno. Here we cultivate our vineyards and olive groves, following the dictates of organic farming on land that are in a great position, facing east, south-east of slopes that reach 250 meters above sea level. The nature of the terrain, the traditional methods of cultivation and harvesting, which are still carried out manually, allow us to select the best grapes, beyond sapientee constant care of the vineyards. The quality that has always characterized the wines of Podere Volpaio, is encouraged daily, with the only goal to aim for a line of wines from the unique character and originality.

Where in TuscanyAlways our production was based on grape varieties, with a predominance of Sangiovese for red wines, but also of black Malvasia grapes, black Canaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo, while for whites Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia del Chianti.
The mission of Podere Volpaio that produces wine, since 1890 is to preserve the value of its territory and its products with intent to constantly increase the quality, to achieve new goals.
Generations of winemakers in Tuscany, organic farming, new knowledge and new winemaking technologies, in addition to respecting tradition, are the cornerstones of the quality of the wines, the Podere Volpaio.
