The farm is in a fertile valley where the main crops are vegetables, fruit and cereals and with extensive fields of wheat and sunflowers, which surround the rolling hills covered with vines and olive groves. Villa Toscana covers about 24 acres which we cultivate personally. Our principal crops are cereals, mainly wheat and sunflowers, and fields of spinach and violet artichokes which are a renowned Tuscan speciality from the Val di Cornia. Olive groves are planted on small portions of the land for the production of extra vergin olive oil and close to the Villa we cultivate a small vegetable garden especially for our guests, enabling them to pick and enjoy thetaste of fresh and genuine produce.

The principal activities of our farm are: the cultivation of spinach and Violet Artichokes, this is typical of the Mediterranean, it was often eaten by the Ancient Egyptian civilisation, and was appreciated by the Romans, and Olive oil. The olive oil is a simple and natural product, obtained by simply pressing the olives; therefore the quality of the product depends mainly on the climatic conditions and the care taken in the cultivation of the plantations.
